Local Youth Vote Campaigns Launch Final Push To Get Out The Vote
At Campuses Throughout Colorado
What: With a lot of issues affecting young voters at stake on Election Day, a coalition of student organizations are launching a final campaign push using proven tactics to mobilize young voters to the polls. CoPIRG student chapter volunteers helped register more than 13,000 students to vote. Now, using on-the-ground and on-line strategies, campaign volunteers are reaching out to their peers in classrooms, on computers and campus quads and urging them to cast a ballot. To date, the campaign has made 46,000 GOTV contacts.
Below is a list of events where you can find these students on their campuses today plus every campus will also have volunteers covering the polls in the afternoon:
Auraria Campus – CU-Denver, Community College of Denver and Metro State:
Who: CoPIRG student volunteers
When: Tuesday, 10 am – 3:30 pm
Where: Stage in front of Tivoli Union
Visuals: Big informational signs, a VOTEBOT, Banner for student voters to sign, music, student volunteers in red “VOTE” t-shirts contacting their peers to vote

CU- Boulder:
Who: CoPIRG student volunteers
When: Tuesday, 8am-7pm
Where: Libby Hall Polling Place, CU-Boulder Campus. Across from the CU Boulder Stadium on Libby Ave
Visuals: Large “Ralphie” Buffalo mascot being signed by hundreds of CU students on Election Day, along with Pizza at the Polls during lunch, and live-action phonebanking.

UC-Colorado Springs:
Who: CoPIRG student volunteers
When: Tuesday, 10am-6pm
Where: UCCS Campus, University Center

The Student PIRGs’ New Voters Project is one of the largest on the ground, non-partisan young voter mobilization campaigns in the country.
